US Open Tennis 2021 Winners

The 2021 US Open was the 141st edition of tennis' US Open and the fourth and final Grand Slam event of the year. It was held on outdoor hard courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City. Daniil Medvedev won the men's singles title. Emma Raducanu won the women's singles title.

  • Men's Single: Daniil Medvedev lifted his first Grand Slam trophy after defeating Novak Djokovic 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in two hours and sixteen minutes in the US Open men’s singles final at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. The second seed ended his opponent’s bid for a calendar slam and a 21st major by dominating from start to finish.
  • Women's Single: Two unseeded players - Emma Raducanu and Leylah Fernandez - faced each other in the US Open women’s singles final at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, New York with the former prevailing 6-4, 6-3 in the end. Raducanu created history by becoming the first-ever qualifier and the first British woman since 1977 to win a Grand Slam. She didn’t drop a single set in the entire tournament, winning all 20 of them.
  • Men's Double: American Rajeev Ram and British Joe Salisbury overcame a slow start to beat Bruno Soares and Jamie Murray 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the US Open men’s doubles final. Ram and Salisbury struggled with their serve in the opening set, with a collective four double faults as they got in slightly more than half of their first serves, as Murray and Soares took advantage with only one unforced error.
  • Women's Double: Samantha Stosur and Zhang Shuai defeated Coco Gauff and Caty McNally in the final, 6–3, 3–6, 6–3 to win the Women's Doubles title at the 2021 US Open. This was Stosur's fourth Major title in women's doubles, and eighth Major overall, and was Zhang's second Major title; this was the pair's second major title, after their victory at the 2019 Australian Open. This was the first major final that either Gauff or McNally participated in.
  • Mixed Double: Desirae Krawczyk and Joe Salisbury defeated Giuliana Olmos and Marcelo Arévalo in the final, 7–5, 6–2 to win the Mixed Doubles title at the 2021 US Open. This was Krawczyk's third and Salisbury's second major mixed doubles title in 2021. Krawczyk became the first player to win three consecutive mixed doubles grand slam trophies since Mahesh Bhupathi in 2005 and the 7th player in the Open era to win 3 out of 4 mixed doubles titles in a single season. Whereas, Salisbury became the first male player to win both the men's doubles and mixed doubles titles at the US Open in the same year since Bob Bryan in 2010.
